Mortgage protection

Mortgage insurance is a protection you can purchase as a mortgage borrower. It is used to pay off a mortgage, in whole or in part, if you die or become disabled. The insurance proceeds are used to pay off the mortgage only.

Consilium Assurance/Groupe Conseil will help you calculate the amount of coverage needed and ensure that it does not decrease as you pay off the mortgage. This means that additional funds will be available when your family needs them the most. Your beneficiaries can then choose how to use the funds: to pay off the mortgage in full or in part, to establish a monthly income or to meet a more pressing need. They will decide, not your lender.
